Leonardo Narducci studied at the Rhode Island School of Design; Leo moved to New York City to find his future in fashion. He achieved early success and after four years in the business received a Coty Award as one of America’s most promising young designers.

The "Kamagong" tree is a fruit tree found in the Philippines; the fruit from the "Kamagong" tree is called mabolo or mabulo. Parts of the “Kamagong” tree are utilized for medicinal purpose such as the leaves, bark, and the roots. The heartwood of the “Kamagong” tree is extremely strong and considered almost indestructible. It belongs to the ebony family, and it is sometimes called "iron wood" due to its hardness.
